Ingredients

Base Tea

  • 2 quarts water
  • 3 Lipton tea bags

Lemon

  • ¾ cup sugar (or one 16-oz bottle light corn syrup)
  • ⅓ cup + 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Diet Lemon

  • 12 (1-gram) envelopes Sweet’N Low or Equal
  • ⅓ cup + 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Orange

  • ¾ cup sugar (or light corn syrup)
  • ⅓ cup lemon juice
  • ⅛ tsp orange extract

Strawberry

  • ¾ cup sugar (or light corn syrup)
  • ⅓ cup + 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp strawberry extract

Cranberry

  • ¾ cup sugar (or light corn syrup)
  • ⅓ cup + 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp Ocean Spray cranberry juice cocktail concentrate

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a rapid boil in a large saucepan. Turn off the heat, add the tea bags, and cover.
  2. Let the tea brew for about 1 hour.
  3. Pour the sweetener for your chosen flavor into a 2-quart pitcher, then add the still-warm tea and stir to dissolve.
  4. Add the flavoring ingredients, plus extra water if needed to reach the 2-quart line. Chill before serving.

  Chef's Tips

Add the sweetener while the tea is still warm so it dissolves easily, and top off with water to hit the 2-quart line before chilling.
