The legendary chocolate chip cookie with a hint of espresso — no urban-legend price tag attached
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1¾ cups flour
- 1½ tsp instant espresso powder, slightly crushed
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Cream the butter with both sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry ingredients and beat into the butter mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by large spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, until just golden at the edges.
