The old family-favorite broccoli salad, remade with a tangy yogurt dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head broccoli, cut into bite-size florets (about 5½ cups)
  • 4 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and chopped
  • ¼ cup finely diced onions
  • ⅓ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds, preferably dry roasted or salted
  • ¾ cup yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Directions

  1. Place the broccoli florets, onions, and raisins in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together the yogurt, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to coat.
  4. Stir in the bacon and sunflower seeds just before serving.
